Our Roots
Specialty Metals Fabrication founders Richard Buxton, Tom Buxton and Larry Hendry are the sons of Gilbert Buxton, who began working in the sheet metal industry in 1955 before launching West Coast Sheet Metal in 1969. After years of perfecting their trade in several capacities, including education and hands-on apprenticeship, Richard, Tom and Larry took tradition to new heights, forming a new company — Specialty Metals Fabrication.

As second-generation sheet metal contractors with years of hands-on experience and expertise, Richard Buxton, Tom Buxton and Larry Hendry formed Sheet Metals Fabrication (SMF).
